National Science Centre Kuala Lumpur

The National Science Centre (PSN) is an informal learning institution by providing two levels of Gallery and Display as well as an educational park called Science Wonderland. Exhibition and activities are designed for everyone regardless of age or background as well as for group visits.

The exhibits provided by PSN adopts the concept of self-exploration. Therefore PSN DOES NOT provide tour guides for your visit. You can spend an hour or a full day to visit PSN. For those who are science enthusiasts, you will feel one day is not enough for you to understand and learned to all the exhibits here. If you are just relaxing with family or friends, the minimum time required is two hours to visit all the galleries at PSN. You can also watch the science shows and participate in some science activities provided by PSN (Public Programme) during your trip.

Please click the menu option at the sidebar for more information regarding the Entrance Fee and Operating Hours. For your information, the entrance fee is only for the permanent exhibition at PSN only. If there is a thematic exhibition, there is an extra charge for the entrance fee which is subject to the themed exhibitions. You are advised to use the Visit Booking Form to plan your visit.

If you require special science activities provided by PSN officers, you can book the School Programme for your trip. For your information, school programmes only run on weekdays, Monday through Thursday. Visit in this form is called School Programme Trip. Reservations can be made by filling out the School Programme Booking Form at least two weeks prior to the visit for PSN to process the application. The School Programme fee also covers the permanent exhibition gallery in PSN.

National Science Centre Northern Region Branch

National Science Centre Northern Region Branch (PSNCWU) is the first branch ever build to fulfill the need of science and technology education for the Northern Region (Kedah, Perlis, Pulau Pinang dan North Perak). We provide an exhibition gallery that are being divided into a few sections that are the Science Mall, Fascinating Tunnel, Islam and Science Corner and lots more. In addition, we also have an education park called Oryza Education Park.

Our operating hours are from 9 am to 5 pm, you are free to spend as much as many time in the gallery as we do not have time limits. You can explore and learn the excitement of the science and technology world. Besides that there is no entrance fee being charge until further notification by PSNCWU.

If you are interested to participate science activity that being specially prepared by our officers, you make your bookings that are available for School Programme. The School Programme is only available on working days that are from Sunday to Thursday. The booking should being made at least two weeks earlier from the date that you want to visit. Last minute booking will not be accepted.

In the foothills of Bukit Damansara, next to the Educational Technology Division (ETD), and in front of the Securities Commission building.

Food and drinks are not allowed to be brought into the building. Smoking and pets are prohibited in all PSN buildings premises.

Guideline

To ensure that your visit goes smoothly and perfectly, please read and understand the guidelines below :

Visit

  • PSN have over 1,000 display items with an interactive design.
  • There is a total of 12 display galleries.
  • Display items have been designed using the concept of “focus on those who are studying” and “studying alone”.
  • Items are designed for repeated visits.
  • The experience is different for every visit.


Arrival

  • Children and senior citizen visitors are advised to enter and exit vehicle in front of the PSN building’s main entrance.
  • Visitors are advised to read and understand all instructions and guidelines provided by PSN.
  • All visitors in the PSN area need to always be careful. PSN are not responsible for any unwanted incidents.
  • Prohibited from bringing food and drinks into the PSN building.
  • No smoking inside the PSN premises.
  • Prohibited from bringing pets to the PSN premises.


Public Transport
– By Bus (to PSN Kuala Lumpur)

  • Please take the RapidKL U83 bus from KL Sentral.
  • This bus route operates on Monday through Friday from 6:00 am until 9:00 am and 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm with the frequency of travel every 1 hour.
