HOSTING
The hosting of the Exhibition
in Malaysia will create public awareness especially among
the dynamic youth of Malaysia as 68 percent of the Nation's
23 million population fall within this age group and they
will be the future leaders of the nation.
This
group must be made fully aware of the immense invaluable
contribution of Nobel Laureates and inspire them to strive
for scientific excellence.
This
exhibition is sure to set the stage for Malaysia to embrace
a culture of creativity.
All
Malaysians are deeply proud and honoured that Malaysia has
been bestowed the privilege and responsibility of hosting
the Centennial Exhibition of the Nobel Prize 1901-2001 themed
“Cultures of Creativity”.
This
is all the more important because Malaysia will be the only
South East Asian country and the third country in Asia to
host the exhibition to date.
The Nobel Prize Centennial
Exhibition - Kuala Lumpur 2004 will be an event not just
for Malaysia but for the 10-member Association of
Southeast Nations
(ASEAN) as well as many interested members from the Asia
and Pacific Region.
