Introduction
The organization of the PSN SciFest program is an annual highlight for Pusat Sains Negara (PSN) since 2011 as one of the initiatives to intensify the science, technology and innovation (STI) enculturation program through non-formal science education activities for the Malaysian community.
PSN SciFest which is held every year targets a total of 20,000 physical visitors from various walks of life including pre-school, secondary and primary school students, university students and the general public. PSN SciFest 2022, which will be held in a hybrid manner, aims to engage 1.5 million participants physically and virtually through social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Youtube, TikTok).
PSN also fully utilises collaborative relationships with Higher Education Institutions and other private companies as an added value to the program in addition to maximizing participations from students and the community.

Theme
The theme of the PSN SciFest program this year is "STI Empowers the Future" in line with the speed of today's digital world which is supported by the development of internet technology, IoT, big data, automation, virtual reality and augmented reality in improving the quality of life and facilitating the delivery of Science, Technology , Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) to the community.
The PSN SF2022 event held for two (2) days will be filled with science competitions, STEM workshops, hands-on activities, special exhibitions, STI-based games, creative performances and so on.
At the end of 2022, PSN hopes that all the science culture efforts that have been carried out throughout this year will be able to improve science literacy among the community with a variety of dynamic and trendy new programs. Hopefully this ongoing STI culture initiative will be able to attract interest and give inspiration and awareness to the community, especially the young people, about the importance of the latest science and technology knowledge in life.

Objectives
- Encourage visitors to understand, practice and apply STEM knowledge, especially in the field of digital technology;
- Provide awareness of the importance of STI to the community in improving the quality of daily life;
- Facilitating the presentation of STI through various methods of delivery and also science communication; and
- Support the National Science, Technology, Innovation Policy (DSTIN, 2021-2030) with the efforts to enculturate Science, Technology and Innovation (STI) among the community through non-formal science learning activities at Pusat Sains Negara.
PSN SCIFEST 2022 OPENING CEREMONY
PSN SciFest 2022 Opening Ceremony will be officiated by YBhg. Datuk Ts. Dr. Mr. Aminuddin bin Hassim, Secretary General, Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation (MOSTI), on 14 November 2022 (Monday), at 2.30-5.00 pm at Pusat Sains Negara.
