PSN at the Village Programme is one of the first components under the Outreach Programme to further expose and develop interest in learning science and technology among those living in the rural area. This programme has been going on since 1999 with the programme focused on displays by PSN only. The programme was handled, planned and executed at selected states with the full support of the Committee that was established on a state level and is chaired by the Science Exco who is also the Chairman of the Science and Technology Encouragement Programme.

The programme is based on a concept of ‘meet the people’ and was executed in the rural area with items such as interactive displays, science demonstrations and other activities. Besides that, there were also displays by the MOSTI agencies and the state and private sectors throughout the whole 4 days of the visit.
